Bettys Tours - A Quick Trip to the Supermarket

The other week I popped into my local shop as my fridge was looking a bit bare (after all a girl has to live on  co-op_memor_scanner
more than a glass of wine!) and I came across them using these fab little handheld barcode scanners.

And yes, before you mention it, I know the photo is of the beauty aisle. What can I say, I got distracted!

Anyway, the girls (and guy) were using these handheld scanners to run ‘on demand’ stock takes and price markdowns on the shop floor.

This little Memor is a great handheld and really handy for use in shops,  small outlets and warehouses (although it’s unlikely you will find these in the likes of an Amazon warehouse as they tend to use larger, more rugged handhelds, better suited to use with forklift trucks).

We also use them at Datalinx with our Inventory Manager 50 solution (which is why they caught my eye) and my clients have found them highly portable  and really easy to use with all their daily barcode scanning tasks, booking goods in, stock takes and they’re especially handy for creating and picking on-demand sales orders.

Warehouse Tour

Thought you might be interested in the warehouse I went round recently.
It will be uploaded as soon as I've finished my report....

At the Supermarket

The fridge was bare (well almost, there was a bottle of wine left), so I popped out to the supermarket, and there they were all using barcode scanners (in the aisle, not just the fixed position ones you see at the till) so I had a chat with the girls about their handheld barcode scanners....
