Having decided to go wireless, if you want to have the data from the handheld update your system in real-time you will need a wireless network in place.

I will say this in advance, if your warehouse has lots of small rooms and you want to use the handhelds with a real-time update functionality in them, then this could be a costly install for you.

Why? I hear you ask. Well, most wireless networks work on 'line of sight'. so it's likely that each room will need a network device,
where-as if you had an open space you would need much fewer devices....
